Well, I have good news and I have bad news for stash busting this week. I'll start with the good news:
After finishing the cutting and piecing for my Christmas table runner, the backing for my Dr. Seuss quilt, and binding for both I have used 6 yards of my stash this week. Not too shabby if I do say so myself!
The bad news (for stash busting purposes, I'm really excited)
2 jelly rolls, which I read equal 2 1/2 yards of fabric, 4 yards of backing, and 1 yard for binding. A grand total of 10 yards.
Used this week: 6 yards
Used YTD: 8 yards
Added this week: 10 yards
Aded YTD: 10 yards
Net Used for 2011: -2 yards.
I don't like that I'm in the hole two yards so early on, but it's only 2 yards so I won't beat myself up too much! It might be a big enough incentive to not buy just so I don't have to do anymore math! This week I hope to finish the projects listed above and start cutting out a scrap quilt for charity, so hopefully that will help my count next week.
